Can Second Kayak be Added to Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer

Question:

Hi, My situation... * I have a Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 kayak 10 feet / 6 inches. Kayak 1 * Looking at the Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer. Im older and dont want too much lifting. * I might have a need to have an additional kayak. Kayak 2. Its just a simple 12 foot kayak that would go on a J-Mount rack. * Im assuming I would have to assemble. Are there other possible pre-assembled options? Any thoughts? Thanks

While all the kayak trailers do need to be assembled, you can definitely put a pair of kayaks on the LowBed MicroSport trailer, which is the following part number:

- Malone LowBed MicroSport Trailer # MPG464-LB

The # MPG464-LB has a 500 lb crossbar capacity, and uses 78" crossbars, so you'll have plenty of room for your 36" wide Old Town Sportsman PDL 106 kayak. That kayak can then be carried with the Malone MegaWing Fishing Kayak Carrier # MPG207.

The # MPG207 has a 150 lb weight capacity which is more than enough for your Sportsman kayak, and for the occasional use of another kayak with a J-style carrier, I recommend going with the simple but effective etrailer Kayak Carrier # e98878.
