5th Wheel Installation Kit Recommendation for a 2014 Ram 2500 Without OEM 5th Wheel Package

Question:

I have a 2014 Ram 2500 and was wondering if my truck doesnt have the OEM Factory Prep Package will I be able to make this adapterRP30154? I have a Pro Series 15K fifth wheel and cant seem to find the installation kit to install into my truck. Can you point me in the right direction please?

I have a solution for you, however, the Reese Rail Adapter, # RP30154, will not work on models without the factory fifth wheel package. Instead, I recommend using the Curt Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, # C16427-104 or # C16427-204. The only difference between these two kits is the finish of the base rails. The 104 kit base rails have a gloss finish and the 204 kit base rails have a carbide (matte) finish.

These kits use the industry standard above bed base rails, so they will work with your Pro Series 15K hitch and they will fit all models and bed lengths of the 2014 Ram 2500. Also, they do not require any frame drilling to install. I have attached the installation instructions for you to check out.
