Parts Needed To Install 7-Way On a 2013 Chevrolet Express 2500 Passenger Van
Question:
I have a 2013 Chevrolet Express 2500 Passenger van, I will be purchasing a hitch for this vehicle from you very soon. In looking at your wiring options I note that a vehicle equipped with a tow package has a plug behind the rear bumper shown as a round plug in your photos and uses a plug n play harness. I don’t know if my vehicle has a tow package, or how I would find out. However, there is a Flat plug with 6 holes attached to the driver side frame rail directly behind the rear bumper. It certainly appears to be factory installed. Is it possible this is for trailer light wiring or would it definitely be a round plug? Thank You

If your 2013 Chevrolet Express 2500 passenger van did not leave the factory with a factory tow package it will not have everything needed to connect a 7-Way # A10-7072VP. With you mentioning the connector only having 6 connector this tells me it is not for a 7-way and is used for something else.
To install a 7-way you will need the 4-way # 118392 along with a 7-Way Install Kit # ETBC7. I have linked 2 installation videos below for the 4-way and 7-way. The 7-way video does show the installation of a brake controller as well similar to the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885.
