Will this hitch work on a 2020 X3 M? If not what is the issue?

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76226 fits all models of the 2020 BMW X3. This includes the X3 M so you won't have any issues installing it on your vehicle. The hitch features a bolt-on installation and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
If you plan on towing, you will also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK77FR. This plugs into the connection points in the rear cargo area, and will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
