Correct Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System for Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 2614BS
Question:
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 truck and recently purchase a Rockwood2614BS trailer. The dry wt is6,988 lbs with a payload capacity at 1,608 lbs. I have an EqualizerEQ37100ET distribution hitch from my previous trailer. Seems I will be on the high end of my current hitch. Do I need to purchase a new distribution system? If so what is recommended? Thanks

The Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 2614BS has a hitch weight of 800 lbs dry so you'll likely be near or past 1,000 lbs while loaded which makes the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System part # EQ37100ET on the edge of what it's rated for as you said. If I were you, I'd probably upgrade to a higher capacity but you don't need a new entire system for this, just the parts below:
Replacement Head part # EQ90-02-1200
Replacement Spring Bars part # EQ90-01-1299
