Choosing a Replacement Grease Seal for a 2,900 lb Trailer Axle

Question:

Trying to find axle seals for this trailer axle, only info I found was this on a welded on tag. Picture attached, the weight rating is 2900 pounds, thank u

For your application I recommend checking out this double lip grease seal # 34823 which is standard for 1" BT8 spindles, and the seal has a 1.249" ID and 1.983" OD.

Your 2,900 lb weight capacity is definitely unique so I can't say for sure whether this will match or not, but you can measure your spindle where the grease seal rides as well as the opening of your hub where the seal fits to see if these dimensions match.
