Trailer Hitch Recommendation and Installation on a 2010 BMW 328i with M Sport Package

Question:

I am looking for a hitch for my 2010 bmw 328i sedan. I have the M-sport option and dont mind cutting a hole for the hitch to protrude thru, but wonder how tough it will be to measure and line up the spot to cut. I also see that no drilling is required... Does this mean the car is pre-drilled and set up for this hitch.I had a 2005 Toyota corolla that was predrilled and even threaded for a hitch so all I had to do was bolt it on with 4 bolts.Do your hitches come with the hardware to bolt it up? Thanks

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I Trailer Hitch, # 24857, is listed to fit the 2010 BMW 328i sedan, but it has not been tested specifically on the M sport models. You will only have to do some fascia trimming if the rear bumper fascia on your model sits further below the vehicle frame or end panels than the base models. If not, then the receiver of the hitch will sit just below the rear bumper fascia. After doing some research on the M sport package, I do not think this will be an issue for you.

Like you said, this hitch does not require any drilling because it mounts to pre-existing threaded studs on the end panels that the appearance panels attach to. The 328i does not use weld nuts in the frame like your Corolla. This hitch comes with all of the installation hardware. The only bolt that you will use is a carriage bolt to attach the hitch to the frame cross member. I have attached a link to the installation instructions that lists each step, the included hardware and diagrams for installation.
