Is the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles Needed for a 2015 Chevy Equinox

When my car key is in the ACC position my brake lights light up when the pedal is depressed. Is a Stop Light Relay required for a 2015 Chevy Equinox?

The Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-88400 is NOT required for a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. The vehicle has combined stop and turn signals which means the relay is not required per Roadmaster.
