Recommended Hitch for a Bike Rack on a 2022 Coachman Cross Trail 20CB Motorhome

Question:

Hello I have a 2022 Coachman Cross Trail 20CB class c rv. It has a class 1 hitch receiver. Can I convert that to a class 2 or 3 hitch mount receiver, not an adapter. I have an ebike rack that needs a class 2 receiver. I can’t find an ebike rack that works with a class 1 receiver or that supports the weight of my 2 ebike. Thanks

I have a solution for you but there's no way to convert a class I receiver to a class II and definitely not to a class III. You are in luck though there is a custom fit hitch available for your Coachman Cross Trail Motorhome. It is the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver item # E-100. This hitch bolts directly to your 4" square channel bumper. It has a 2" receiver and boasts a 350 lbs tongue weight capacity.

I recommend verifying that your bike rack is rated to be used behind a motorhome and can be used with a 2" receiver. If you find out that it isn't the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack item # HLY74FR would be a great option.
