Installation of etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2023 Toyota Highlander With Exhaust Shield
Question:
Hi, I am installing a tow hitch on a 2023 Toyota Highlander LE, Hybrid. It is a Etrailer model e75ZR. On my car, there is a plastic shelf attached to the bumper, directly above the exhaust outlet. It is in the way of the hitch - its not showing up on any Videos or comment threads. Can I talk with someone that is familiar with new Highlanders and I can send a photo? Thanks!

It appears as though some of the hybrid models come with an exhaust shield like you described. This will need to be permanently removed for the installation of the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e75ZR. It should be held in place by a screw and a fastener. Remove them and you will be able to get it out of the way and complete your installation.
