Can Fans Of Derale 29 High-Ouput Fans D19628 Be Removed From Shroud and Used?
Question:
This fan assembly #16928 are puller fans . Are the fans , only , able to be removed from the over all shroud so as to be attached to radiator without the shroud . Also what is the depth of the fans . The pictures seem to show the fan shroud is as deep to include the motor. These fans have the CFM I need and the fans may be able to fit my set up without the overall shroud assembly. I only have 2 1/4in. between the radiator and w/p pulley.

You could remove the two fans of the Derale # D16928 from the shroud, but you need to custom make another shroud as without that shroud the fans will not be effective as puller fans.
The fans themselves not including the motor are 1-7/8" thick.
