In addition to the capacity, you will also want to find the length of the axle and the spring center. The hub face to hub face measurement is how you determine the length. If you can't find a spring center length that matches, it is possible to cut off the spring seats and weld on new ones with the correct measurement. I have attached a video below showing how to measure.
For example, the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e84YR you looked at has a length of 60" and a spring center length of 48". If this matched your current measurements you could use it as a replacement. Going to a higher capacity axle is possible if you can find one that is the right length. Keep in mind, this will not increase the capacity of your trailer. You will still be limited by other components or the GVWR of your trailer. You will also potentially need to replace suspension parts and get new hubs to fit.
Another option would be to use the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension. This fits any frame width so there is no need to measure. It will also upgrade your suspension and give you additional clearance. For a 2,200 lb system we have the # ASR1THDS01 and for a 3,500 lbs system the # A35RS545. If you don't have brakes you could use the # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K for hubs. If you need brakes, you can use the # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K for a hub and drum assembly along with the # AKEBRK-35-SA for brakes.
