Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2018 Ram 2500 6.5' Bed with Prep for 15K GVWR Trailer

Question:

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab with 6.7L diesel, 6.5 bed and 3.42 gears with the OEM prep package it has holes and plastic caps in the bed so Im assuming thats what this is. Im currently shopping for 5th wheel RVs in the 15k GVWR range. Any suggestions on a hitch for this setup? Im new to 5th wheel hauling and kind of lost.

There are a lot of fifth wheel hitch options for a 2018 Ram 2500 and since you have the factory prep package, they all install easily, without any modifications. If you're looking for the best, it's the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3670. It's heavy as hell and sucks getting in and out of the truck bed but it's also bullet proof and the last hitch you'll have to buy. There also isn't anything else out there that can compete performance wise. It has super thick dual jaws which grip the kingpin tight and produce a smooth ride. It also has a cam-action handle which allows to couple/uncouple on uneven camp sites.

If you're just looking for something that won't break the bank and get the job done, the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30051 with Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # RP30154 will work well for this.
