In-Bed Tie-Down Recommendation for a 1972 Chevy Pickup
Question:
Will this system work on a 1972 Chevy Longhorn ?
asked by: Marianna
Helpful Expert Reply:
The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSWB are designed with Ford trucks in mind so for your older 1972 Chevy pickup you'll have better luck with the universal Brophy tie-downs:
- Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSAB
While these are universal fitments you'll still need to make sure your rail width is at or under 5-1/2" and you have at least 2" of space under the lip of your bed rail. I'm attaching a photo with dimensions for you to reference and double check if this fits your truck or not.
Be sure to pick up some turnbuckles, like part # TDHP, as well if you don't already have some!
