Will Reese Goosebox Have Enough Clearance in 2011 F-250 With Auxiliary Fuel Tank
Question:
Situation: 2011 F-250 with 6.75-foot bed and a 60-gallon auxiliary fuel tank in front of the wheel wells. 61 inches from fuel tank to back of bed and 60 inches from tank hold down flange to back of bed. Will a BandW under bed turnoverball system with a Reece Goosebox work and not risk hitting the auxiliary fuel tank? Would using a 4-inch offset ball in the BandW turnoverball system and the BandW 5th wheel Companion be an option?

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # BWGNRK1111 combined with the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 will give you enough clearance. Since Reese has had stock issues you may not be able to find a Goosebox from them. However, the Gen-Y is a great option that will work just as well.
To choose the correct model you will need to know your bolt pattern and tongue weight. Gen-Y uses the formula GVWR x 0.22 = Tongue weight. Once you have this information you can choose the correct option using the link below. For example, if you have a 2,000 lb tongue weight with a Lippert 1621 the correct Gen-Y would be the # GY58GR.
Using the Companion with an offset ball is not an option. The Companion drops into the hitch, it does not use the ball for installation. Because of the gap underneath the offset, similar 5th wheel hitches that attach to the ball won't work either.
