Solution for Carrying Motorcycle With 2013 Honda CR-Z

Hey, Id like to use this motorcycle carrier Black Widow MCC-600 Heavy Duty Steel Motorcycle Carrier And for that I would need a hitch since my car Honda CRZ 2013 does not has a factory one. My question is or a Class 1 hitch would do the job or if I need a class II, my motorcycle curb weight 516 lb plus 50 from the rack itself therefore I believe Id need at least a class II hitch for a tongue weight of 600 lb, since Im "carrying" and not towing it actually therefore trailer gross weight does not applies but please help me out here

That carrier requires a Class III or higher hitch with a 2" receiver, which is stated in the information on the product page. That is also what would be required to handle the weight of the carrier and motorcycle. Even if there was such a hitch for your vehicle, you will far exceed the vehicle tongue weight capacity with that 566 lbs. I don't think you want the carrier and the motorcycle to fall off in the middle of the road while driving.

If you want to carry your motorcycle with your 2013 Honda CR-Z you will need to use a trailer. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11077 is the only hitch that fits your vehicle and has maximum gross trailer weight of 1,000 lbs. The trailer would have to be light enough that you do not exceed this capacity when combined with the weight of your motorcycle. You will also need to consult your owner's manual for the towing capacity of your vehicle.
