Replacement Leaf Springs, Equalizers, Shackles and Wet Bolts for 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS

Question:

I own a 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS. I want to replace the suspension. It has dual Lippert axels. What are the part numbers for the leaf spring, the equalizer replacements and I think the bolt kit is MORryde MR46ZR? Thanks!

Grand Design lists several possible axles for your 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS so you will need to identify which you have to get the correct parts. You should be able to find this information on the axle tag. What I can tell you is that whichever capacity you have the correct replacement leaf springs measure 26" spring eye to spring eye. If you have one of the 5,200 lb axles you can use the following:

-6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26" Long - Dacromet # e88SR

These do have a slightly higher capacity but it isn't enough to impact your ride in the trailer. If you have the 4,400 lb axles we do not have a replacement option with the right capacity and length. You could use the # e48SR for a 4k axle but this would limit what you can carry since the capacity is lower. Unless a different component is weaker, you would be limited to 8,000 lbs between the two sets of springs.

They also list your equalizer as the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC279687. I would replace it with the same equalizer since you already know this works. Switching to a different equalizer with different dimensions may throw off other suspension components.

For the shackles, you either need the # MR26ZR or the # MR48ZR. According to Grand Design, you have 3-1/8" shackles but they list a regular kit as well as one for the correct track. If you have correct track on your trailer you need the # MR48ZR, if you don't then the # MR26ZR is the correct kit.
