Compressor Dimensions for Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs

Question:

Hello, I have a 2019 Ford F-250 Superduty and I would like to mount the compressor and manifold like you have shown in your installation video on top of the mounting plate above the spare tire at the cross member. My question is regarding the amount of vertical space required for the compressor. In the video there appears to be plenty of space but I did notice that there appears to be an altered bed which looks like it has a cross member mounted higher then the factory bed. Have you installed the compressor in that location with a factory bed? What are the dimensions of the compressor? I think I read in one of the other replies where the approximate dimensions were given but after taking some measurements myself it seems like the compressor might not actually fit in that spot mounted vertically which would be my preference. Any other info you might have about installing the compressor and manifold at this location would be helpful. Im ready to purchase this compressor system along with the 5000 Ultimate Bag system but Id like to feel a little more comfortable with the ability to mount it as described. Also is the wiring harness long enough to reach to the engine bay from back here? My truck is a full size crew cab with 8foot bed. Thanks

I checked with Air Lift and they were not able to provide the exact dimensions of the compressor that comes with the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs part # AL74000 but they were able to provide the shipping dimensions which are 8-3/4" long x 4" wide x 6-1/2" tall and those should be close to the actual dimensions.

In regards to installation, you'll need to find enough space under the bed for both the compressor and manifold to mount. The video you referenced does indeed have a flat-bed so the exact spot used here could differ from your setup. The wiring harness is a fixed length so you won't be able to place the unit at the very back of the truck but anywhere in front of the rear wheels should be fine. This is all covered in the installation instructions which are attached below. It really just comes down to you mocking up everything yourself and finding a location that is best for your truck.
