Is a Lift Needed to Install Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline
Question:
I bought this model few months ago but you said that I don’t need a vehicle lift to install it. What’s the technic to install it? Because it goes underneath the truck, please give us the tips.Thanks, Appreciate all your support.

I'm sure it would be easier with a vehicle lift but this is by no means required to install the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock part # PAL8600 on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. That said, you will have to get on the ground and reach under the vehicle to the run the wires back but we have customers do this all the time without a lift. If you have some jacks or ramps nearby that would make this process a bit easier. I have attached for you below the installation instructions. I have also attached for you below a video that shows how we routed the wires although there is more than one way to do this. We did use a lift in the video but this is so we can show you better.
