Is There a Brake Controller Plug on a 2000 Holiday Rambler with Freightliner XC Chassis
Question:
Hello, I have a 2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Class A Diesel motorhome, freightliner xc chassis. I am looking to add a trailer brake controller, my chassis is already prewired with a 7pin harness to the rear, but is unterminated. I have been told that there could be a plug under the dash that is ready to accept a brake controller. What adapter harness would I use to plug in a Curt brake controller? Any idea of the location of the prewired plug under the dash?

There isn't a trailer brake controller port on a 2000 Holiday Rambler with Freightliner XC Chassis. Therefore, in order to install a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 you'll need to hardware to the battery, brake pedal, and trailer connector. In order to do this you'll need the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # 5506 as well as some extra wires, the Deka Jacketed 2 Wire part # 10-2-1.
