If by upgrading you mean replacement leaf springs with a higher capacity, you will need to know the length of what you currently have. This is the measurement from spring eye to spring eye. Also, you will need to account for the fact that they have flattened out so your current measurement will be longer than a new leaf spring.
For shackles, I recommend upgrading to the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers. This kit comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles. If you have 2-1/4" long shackles you need the # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" the # MR76ZR.
I'm not entirely sure how much or what you're willing to upgrade, but the best option would be the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers # RM-2460-2570. This is a full package with leaf springs, upgraded equalizers, and shocks. This is designed for tandem 7k axles like you have on your toy hauler and will significantly improve your ride and towing experience.
