Troubleshooting N.C. Code on Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
Question:
Prodigy 2 have n.c, all fuses are good, checked voltage at connection under dash, checked voltage at trailer connection with helper, did bench test, checked each brake and magnet on trailer all 4. Wasnt really sure what to look for but all wiring looked fine. Cleaned magnet surfaces. I even tried a new controller. When I get in truck if I keep foot on brake it reads 00 then numbers up. I can keep doing this over and over but if I take my foot off brake for 4 or 5 sec.it reads n.c.. What am I missing?????

Normally when we see connection issues like this on the Prodigy P2 # 90885, or really any other brake controller, it's due to a bad ground or connection somewhere. You've already checked off a lot of the initial testing which is great, but the steps I'm seeing that you're missing (or haven't mentioned) are checking the grounds for the brake controller, your brake magnet grounds, and then the wiring connections inside your vehicle and trailer 7-Ways.
Since it shows it's connected when you're sending power through this leads me to believe that it's a loose connection in one of the 7-Ways and as soon as you let go of the power it completely disconnects.
When you have the 7-Ways opened up I recommend adding some Dielectric Grease # 11755 inside to help protect the wiring and connections against the elements.
