Is Popping in Gooseneck Coupler Normal
Question:
Convert-A-Ball CG I have one of these hitches Occasionally I here a pop from a cold takeoff like at stop light its in the hitch all items are tight so it must be internal in softener? Is this common for this sound in this model of hitch never did it at first that I remembered? Just want it to be safe as its on a Lakota horse trailer

Some noise is normal with a gooseneck coupler, even the # CG you have. There needs to be a bit of play so you can make turns, and so long as all your connections are tight, it isn't an issue. Try lubricating the hitch ball on a normal basis as well, which can help with some of the noise.
