Will Water Leak Into a 2010 Nissan Rouge When Using a Roof Mount Cargo Bag for Bare Roofs
Question:
I have a 2010 Nissian Rouge Bare Roof, I want to know how to keep water from dripping into the car Just make a suggestion for a product that would keep my car dry, or maybe a tape or something that can keep the water out, that is whats holding me back from buying one of these.

Even if you were to use a cargo bag that can install on a naked roof water should not be able to leak into the vehicle. The weather stripping on the inside of the doors should still prevent that from happening. I have not heard of any complaints yet of water getting in. This is because on many vehicles there is weather stripping on the door and on the door frame or body of the vehicle to create the best seal.
If your 2010 Rogue does not have this double type of weatherstripping then I would install a roof rack. The most economical is the Rhino-Rack roof rack using the following parts:
Aero bars # RRVA126B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
Clamp kit # DK146
Or another option instead of a roof mount bag you could use a rear mount cargo bag, # RL100B90. It is basically a back pack for your vehicle. Since you do not have a roof rack you would also need car clips, # RL100605. I have linked a video review of this bag for you.
If you do go with the roof mount bag I do not recommend any kind of tape used on the paint of the vehicle. You could get some self-adhesive weatherstripping from a home improvement store and make additional weatherstripping on the door as well. I do not know how well that would work but its better than something stuck on the outside of the vehicle.
