Can The Roadmaster Invisibrake Be Installed In The Rear Compartment Of A 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler
Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Sport , I have your video installing the Invisibrake under the front seat. The thing I’m worried about is people seating in the back behind the driver can easily kick the unit. Can the box be mounted in the back compartment in front of the tailgate? Do I have enough wire and air line? If so could you send a video? Thanks

I spoke with Brad, one of our installers here that's done quite a few Invisbrake installs, and he stated that box under the front driver seat is tucked in further than you'd think so you'd have to purposefully kick it and it wouldn't be an accident.
That being said, it is possible to mount the compressor box in the back of your Wrangler but you'll most likely need to get some additional 1/4" nylon vacuum line to go from the box to the brake booster in the engine compartment and also some additional wire to splice in to accommodate the extra length. Since this isn't something we've attempted yet it's hard to say for certain the exact length that will be needed.
If you're comfortable with splicing in additional wire then you'll be able to install this in the rear compartment. You'll want to remove the driver's seat to make running your wires and air lines easier. You'll want to install the air cylinder under the driver seat to have enough length to reach the box and the pulley. The main thing here is that you do not want to kink any of the air lines, which can be easy to do, so take your time and really plan out your installation.
You'll have to remove quite a bit of trim pieces as well so I recommend picking up a trim panel tool kit # PT73HJ to help pop off the trim without breaking it. I've attached a couple of Brad's videos below, one in a Jeep and another a Ford Fusion where he had to mount it in the trunk, to help you with the installation process.
