Recommended Hitch for a 2015 VW Beetle Convertible
Question:
HI, I find the Curt Trailer Hitch for 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. https://www.etrailer.com/p-C11354.html But from the owner guide, vw say: For technical reasons, the vehicle body structure is not designed for the installation of a trailer hitch. Does the trailer hitch meet the regulations and is it safe? Thanks.

So long as your 2015 Beetle Convertible does not have the diesel engine, or is the R-Line model, you will have no problems mounting the Curt Hitch item # C11354 to your car. This hitch is custom fit and designed specifically for a Beetle. It meets all USA standards for safety.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56380, then for a ball mount you'd need the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593, and finally for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
