Can Dual-Cam Sway Control and a Friction Sway Control Bar be Used at the Same Time on a Trailer

Question:

Does adding the 83660 to the currently installed RP26002 add any additional anti-sway or would it be redundant? The price is right for if it adds additional safety.

You will not get any additional benefit from using a friction sway bar with a dual-cam sway control system. And it is not likely that you could install both any way. Dual-cam sway control is an active system stopping sway before it starts and forcing the trailer to ride straight behind the vehicle.

A friction sway bar is an independent reactive system that will work to stop sway after it has already started so the two systems are fundamentally different.

The added tension from a sway bar could also make turning difficult for the system.
