Why Wouldn't Brake Controller Wiring of 2003 GMC Sierra be Active
Question:
Installed a Hopkins brake controller for my Sierra 1500 and having trouble getting power through the four wire plug in underneath the dash

On your 2003 GMC Sierra there are actually a few connections that need to be made under the hood of the vehicle to allow the brake controller wiring to be active. If you check out the attached help article you'll see exactly how to do this.
