Recommended Hub and Drum Assembly for 5,200 and 7,000 Pound Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension
Question:
Do you offer and assembly with brakes, bearing, races, and seals? If not, what would those part numbers be? On torsion axle suspensions, when weight is transferred to one independently suspended wheel, there is the possibility of gravely overloading that wheel / suspension. In a tandem axle setup for these Timbren items, would there be the same risk? I am interested in using two 2 pair of the 5,200 or 7K versions. Thanks!

Like any trailer suspension, you would be overloading it if you had all the weight on a single tire. Not just the suspension but other components as well. We do not have an option that includes the hub, bearings, and brakes for the 5,200 lb and 7,000 lb Timbren but I would be happy to recommend parts for a complete setup.
The # TASR5200S05 and # TASR7KS01 use the same bearing combination so the same parts will work for both. For a hub and drum assembly with the bearings, races, and seal included I recommend the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3. For self-adjusting brakes you can use the # AKEBRK-7-SA. Both the hubs and the brakes are rated for 5,200-7,000 lbs.
