Recommendation for a 2013 Rear-View Mirror that Reduces Blind Spots and to Use While Backing Up

Question:

I have an rear view mirror with electronics so it is thick. Will any of your rear view mirrors fit? I wish to increase the visibility of this long minivan to include blind spot areas while driving and backing up. Thanks.

For the clamp on style of replacement rear-view mirrors that we have available, the thickness of your OEM mirror is not as much of a concern, as the height of the existing mirror. This is due to the mounting styles of the replacement mirrors.

For your application, the best rear view mirror option that we have for reducing blind spots is the K-Source Extendable Panoramic Rear-view Mirror # KSRM012. This mirror has 2 slide outs that allow the mirror to extend from 13-3/4 inches to 21-1/2 inches long.

This is a universal fit item that is designed to fit most OEM rear-view mirrors and the spring loaded clamps on the mirror are extendable from 2-1/8 to 2-7/8 inches. You can compare this measurement to your existing mirror to see if it will fit clamp on the front of your existing mirror. I have included a photo showing these measurements for your reference.

The K-Source Panoramic Aspheric Rear-view Mirror # KSRM1300 that you referenced is convex style of replacement mirror. Flat glass is required for inside rear-view mirrors. In convex mirrors, objects are closer than they appear, and convex rear-view mirrors may only be used for off-road driving.

We have several back-up camera systems that you might also find helpful, and I have provided a link to those systems for your reference.
