Can Ultra Fab Skid Wheels UF48-979023 Weld Directly to Hitch Cross Tube

Question:

Installation of UF48-979023 We have a 43.2foot Riverstone 5th wheel that we want to buy these rollers to prevent any tail drag damage to RV. We have a welder to do this...My question is, does the welder just weld the wheels on or do they have to have some sort of spacer plate welded on first? They would be welding onto a hitch bar that is welded to the frame of unit. We thought 2 would be fine-One on each end but do we need a third roller wheel welded to the underside of the actual bike hitch receiver too?

You can weld the Ultra Fab Skid Wheels part # UF48-979023 directly to the hitch bar of your RV without needing an additional spacer. Most likely just having one one either side of the hitch tube would be adequate but if the hitch opening does hang a lot lower than the main cross tube of the hitch a third one like you mentioned would be a solid idea.
