Are Hanger Spacers Needed for 3rd Generation Correct Track on Tandem Axle Trailer

Question:

Hi I recently purchased a 2018 Prime Time Crusader 5th Wheel camper model # 297RSK. It is 32 foot 7 inch long, dry weight 9200lbs. My tow vehicle is a 2022 Gmc AT4 HD Like all newer 3/4 ton trucks it is very high. My delimna is my rv is not level when towing. I was super excited when I went to your site and the recommendation was to install the Lippert correct track 2nd generation kit that would get me approximately 2 inches of height which would make my rv very close to level. Very disappointed when I tried to order this kit and found out it has been permanently discontinued. What you now have is a Correct Track 3rd generation which basically would give me what I need. My concern is this 3rd generation kit doesnt seem to have the hanger spacer that the Lippert 2nd generation kit has. To my thinking this spacer looks like it adds quite a bit of stability to the original hanger. Is there anything in the 3rd generation kit that duplicates the spacer in the 2nd generation kit, and if not what would you recommend to make this a safe installation. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I definitely see what you're saying about the spacer, found as part # LC34UD, from the 2nd gen Correct Track LC407131.

With that being said, the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX has been safety tested and works just fine without that spacer. As long as you install the Correct Track according to the instructions you will be just fine.

If you really want those spacers in-between the hangers on your trailer then you can order some from the part above and install them at the same time as you install the 3rd gen Correct Track. You could also install the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR33WR along with the Adapter Kit for Correct Track Hangers # MR93WR for each set of hangers if you wanted to add in some more bracing.
