Recommended Bike Rack to Carry a Como Step-Thru E-Bike with Front and Back Fenders

Question:

I have a specialized Como step through with fenders on back and front tires. I have an LTV Unity with what I believe is a standard 2” hitch receiver. Is the INH110 the right 1-bike carrier for this set up? Looks like it is based on all I’m reading, but want to make sure. Thanks in advance for answering!

I am glad you asked to be sure. Because the Inno Tire Hold Bike Rack # INH110 would not be a good choice for your Como step-thru bike. The Inno bike rack will interfere with the fenders on your bike.

The best option that we have that can accommodate the weight, style and fenders on your Como bike is the Saris Freedom Bike Rack # SA4412B-R.

The Saris Freedom Bike Rack # SA4412B-R has the same 60lb. weight limit as the Inno you were looking at. But this will use a frame mounting style which will not interfere with your fenders. You will want to pick up an adapter bar like the # HRBA-PRO to provide an attachment point for the clamps.

The Saris Freedom Bike Rack # SA4412B-R supports tires up to 3" wide. If your tires are wider than 3", you will want to pick up the Fat Tire Adapter Kit # SA4419 which will support tires up to 5" wide.
