Wheel Dollies For Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly Allowing Tighter Turning With Tandem Axle Trailer

Question:

I have a hydraulic tandem axle dump trailer. The trailer has an empty weight of 4000 pounds. The tongue weight is around 550 pounds. I am putting this trailer in a building and have to make a 90 degree turn. The building has a concrete floor. I am using a Trailer Valet XL that I ordered from you on 2/16/2023. The problem I am having is the XL will not push the trailer around 90 degree. The floor is smooth so I have tried putting down plywood for better traction. That does not work either. The XL just seems to stall out . I am wondering if I am doing something wrong ? I am hoping you can help and explain what I am doing wrong. I see you offer wheel dollies also. If they will help what axle do you recommend putting them under front or back? I look forward to your reply. Thank you for your help.

There is nothing wrong with your Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly # TVXL25. It is not able to make tight turns with a tandem axle as that creates tension since the wheels are trying to slide across the surface rather than roll. The Trailer Valet Trailer Wheel Dollies # TV56FR you found are exactly what you need to be able to maneuver your trailer more easily. These are recommended to be placed under the front axle to raise the front wheels off the ground and are more than capable of supporting the axle as each dolly is rated for up to 2,000lbs.
