Troubleshooting Curt Trailer Wiring Harness Not Working on 2020 Dodge Journey
Question:
I have a 2020 Dodge Journey with incandescent taillights. I had a Curt hitch and wiring installed through the dealership but since it has been installed it has never worked properly. The taillights work perfectly fine on the vehicle until I hook up any trailer i have tried 3 different trailers. As soon as I plug in the trailer the drivers side taillight flashes 3 times and then goes out. It does illuminate when you hit the brake and the turn signals work, but the running lights do not work. The right side taillights continue to work perfectly fine and the running lights work on that side, it is only the drivers side that does this. When I unplug the trailer the drivers side running lights continue to stay non working until I turn the vehicle off and then back on. I have take the vehicle to the dealership on two occasions now and they say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle or the wiring that it has to be the trailer I i find it impossible that 3 different trailers have the same wiring issue and also work fine on other vehicles. I have also tripled checked to make sure the correct harness was used, hooked up correctly by the installation guides and the ground is metal to metal. I have seen this question before for a 2016 Dodge Journey, is there any answer or fix for this?

Sounds like you may have had the wrong Curt trailer wiring harness installed on your 2020 Dodge Journey. Curt makes the part # C56332 which is correct if the light style of the vehicle is incandescent and they also make the LED version part # C56330. Is there any way you could confirm which harness you have?
