Recommended Roof Rack and Cargo Basket for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I want to use the spare tire storage by putting the spare tire on the roof. Id also like to fit some maybe try storage up too. I have rails along the side of the car but Ill need a basket or something to put stuff up there.

To add a cargo basket to your Trailhawk's roof you will need to add a set of crossbars to your side rails. To do this you will need the following parts:

This aero bar roof rack system has a 165 lbs capacity. The included locks will help prevent theft. The rubberized vortex strips in the top channels dramatically reduce drag and wind noise.

I recommend the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket item # Y07070. This cargo basket is 44" long x 39" wide and will attach to the Rhino Rack crossbars with included clamps and hardware. This basket weighs 25 lbs and has a 140 lbs capacity.
