Is There a Brake Controller Wire Front to Back on a 2005 GMC Canyon
Question:
Have a 2005 gmc canyon that has tow package and trailer brake controller harness underneath dash. Was wondering if the brake wire then is ran all the way to the back somewhere?

The trailer brake output wire is not run from the front of the vehicle to the rear, you will need to do this yourself. In order to do this, we have a kit you can use which has the wire and everything else you need to install a trailer brake controller. The kit I am referring to is the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. This will require an existing 4-way so if you don't already have one of these you'll need one. I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C55510 which is plug and play. The only other thing you'll need is a brake controller and for this I recommend the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR.
I have attached an install video below if you need help with this portion.
