Complete Parts List To Flat-Tow A 2021 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Hello, I have a Leisure Travel Van Unity RV it is built on a 2020 Mercedes 3500 diesel powered chassis. Ih has a built-in 2inch hitch. I plan on towing a 2021 Jeep Wrangler two-door. The curb weight of the Jeep is 4200 lbs. I could use your help in recommending the right parts. Minimizing weight and safety are my top concerns. From looking at your site have I identified the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor - Proportional Item # DM86VR Roadmaster Baseplate RM521453-5 and a Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain tow bar RM 676 . I couldnt determine the weight of the Demco components that would need to be installed in the Jeep, can you also provide that?. I would appreciate recommendation of the appropriate wiring kit and a rock guard to work with the Roadmaster tow bar or other that you recommend. If Ive missed anything or you recommend a different approach Id welcome recommendations. Thank you.

I'd be happy to help and you're right on the money!
To flat tow your 2021 Jeep Wrangler behind your Leisure Travel Van Unity RV you can absolutely use the:
-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521453-5, with the
-Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor - Proportional Item # DM86VR, and the
-Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain tow bar # RM-676, like you had mentioned.
All of these items will work great with each other and is also compatible with your Jeep. Also, since you're wanting to know, the weight of the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO # DM86VR is 13.213-lbs.
The last thing you're going to need is a wiring harness to connect your RV's taillights, turn signals, and brake lights to your towed vehicle. I recommend going with the Roadmster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154.
This wiring harness will work with both 2-wire (combined) and 3-wire (separated) systems, and will help prevent electrical feedback and the damage it may cause to your vehicle's electric components.
