Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and 7/4-Way Wiring For a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Question:

My 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L was not optioned for a Trailer Hitch and no wiring provided. Could you recommend a Hitch and a good 7 pin/4 pin wiring harness. The new trailer has a 7 pin connector. Thanks in advance for your help.

I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C97JR for your 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. This receiver will mount behind the rear fascia and is hidden by the factory cutout when not in use. The Universal Wiring Harness # 22551 will give you a 7-way connector and the wiring needed to make if function. You can replace the included connector for the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975. This will give you the option of connecting the 7-way or 4-way connector without needing an adapter.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller for Tekonsha Harness # RED63RR will allow you to connect to the brake controller harness in the wiring kit above. This has a small dash mounted control knob so the main unit is hidden behind the dash for a clean appearance.
