Can The Thule Force XT XXL Be Used To Transport A Door?

I need to transport a house door measuring 80” long and 30” wide and 2” thick. While the inside dimensions of the Thule Force XXL Rooftop Cargo Box inside length and width are larger , I’m not sure if the box tapers or has intrusions on the side that would not accommodate and actual 80x30 door. Can you advice?

The Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6359B does taper and has intrusions so this wouldn't be the best solution to carry your house door.

Instead, I believe the best option is to utilize your crossbars with in conjunction with a set of ratchet straps, like the

These tie-downs are going to work perfectly with your crossbars and provide a much safer and easier alternative than trying to carry the door in the Thule Force XT XXL.
