Choosing Between 10K and 15K Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System for Toy Hauler Trailer

Question:

Looking at the Curt Trutrack. My tongue weight is right at 900 pounds as normally loaded, but being a toy hauler it can change some with different loads. Would it be better to get the 1,000 to 1,500 model over the 800 to 1,000 pound model? Would it be bad to have too much capacity vs being at the top of the hitch capacity? I have a 2022 Ford f150 and a 2023 No Bo 19.1 toy hauler.

In regards to choosing a weight distribution system, it's better to be overrated than underrated. If you have a toy hauler trailer with varying loads, you'd want to make sure the system is capable of handing the heaviest load you carry. This might mean the ride will be a bit stiffer with lighter loads but this also means you will be within the system's capacity with the heavy loads. Therefore, I recommend the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System part # C17501 which is rated for up to 15,000 lbs. This system is a complete kit that comes with everything you need. It features a bolt-on install without any modifications and it offers excellent sway control at an affordable price.
