Replacement Trailer Connector and Wiring Harness for 7-Way on 2010 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2010 F-150 Super Crew with factory tow package and my existing wiring consists of a 7-way and 4-way adapter to plug into. My problem is that driving down lots of gravel roads has caused most of the wiring protection is worn off right at the back side of the 7-way adapter and the wiring has corroded which means that the adapters dont work any longer. I have seen replacement items for earlier models of Ford F150s #118242 and #118243 but nothing for a 2010. Do you offer anything or will these fit a 2010 F150? Want to be sure to buy the right thing up front.

The best option we can offer would be a new connector and wiring harness pigtail as we don't carry the factory plug in harness that goes from the vehicle's main wiring harness to the trailer connector. This might be able to be obtained from the dealer but if not your only option is to hardwire as mentioned previously. For this, I recommend using the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets part # HM40975-11998 which comes with both a 4 and 7-way so there is no need for adapters anymore, a mounting bracket to secure the connector, and a wiring harness to attach it to the factory wiring (requires cutting/splicing).
