Are There Adapters Available To Go From Base Rails To A Gooseneck Adapter

Question:

I have an Anderson hitch on rv and would like to haul it with a truck that has a regular 5th wheel hitch in its bed. Is there an adapter that will allow this?

If you're saying you want to connect to an actual fifth wheel hitch with the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100 then no, there is not an adapter and that would put your fifth wheel super nose high.

If you were looking for an adapter that goes from the base rails to the # AM3100 then you could technically use something like the Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails, 25,000lbs GTW # 16085, but we do not recommend using multiple adapters together as you're facing a larger chance of something failing and having a loose 5th wheel behind you. This should really only be used if you had a gooseneck pin box.

If you already have a standard fifth wheel hitch in the truck the safest option is to just remove the # AM3100 from the pin box on the trailer and connect to the hitch normally.
