Question:
I replaced the motor on my coach steps, motor purchased from etrailer with the new motor the steps extend and retract as they should but when the steps complete the cycle in either direction I get a clicking sound as if the motor is attempting to run. the light dims each time this happens, every 3-5 seconds and the motor get very warm/hot. Could this be a faulty/failing control module?

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695. And if you hear a clicking noise, yes it could be a faulty control module, which you can replace with Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301702.
The other thing it may be is a poor ground, so check the ground lug to make sure there is no dirt or any type of corrosion.
