Troubleshooting A Furrion Soundbar That Is Working

Question:

I have a Furrion soundbar fsb2n25mcbl and a Roku onn tv. I understand the soundbar will only work with rca cables. The tv only has rca video, L, R yellow, white, red jacks. I’ve tried connecting the tv rca jacks with the output jacks on the back of the soundbar. I also tried connecting the rca cable to the rca input jacks on the back of the sound bar. Neither worked. I also tried using a Rca/hdmi adapter to hook the soundbar output jacks to the tv hdmi arc jack on the tv. Didn’t work. Not sure what else to do. Can you help?

The Furrion RV Bluetooth Soundbar # FSB2N25MCBL does have a rear HDMI port that you could also use to connect to your TV, so you shouldn't be limited to only the RCA cables. That being said the RCA cables should have worked for you, so you either have bad cables or the soundbar isn't getting power.

You can try testing your RCA cables with another electronic device to see f they are the issue. If so, you can replace them with ones like # 324-000028.

If the cables aren't the issue then the power is most likely the cause. There's a small fuse located on the red power wire for the soundbar. I recommend pulling it out and checking the side of it to see if the little band inside that allows power to flow through has popped. If so you'll just need to replace it.

If the fuse is good then you might not being getting enough power. You'll need to check the power between the fuse and soundbar with a tester # PT89ZR. If you're not getting 12v then either the power source is the issue or you're just getting voltage drop. Check the wire near the power source and if it's getting 12v there but less closer to the soundbar then you have voltage drop, which can be fixed by increasing the wire gauge running to the soundbar.

Try out these steps and let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting if the issue isn't found.
