It sounds like you're trying to convert a 4-way into a 7-way for use with electric trailer brakes. If that's the case then we have just the option for you in the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I recommend this adapter because it's a kit and come with everything you need to wire everything up. The two connectors will simply plug into one another and that then leaves you with a blue, black, and yellow wire. The blue wire is for electric trailer brakes and will need to be run into the cab and connected to a trailer brake controller. The black wire is for the battery charge line and will need to be run into the engine bay and connected to the battery with a circuit breaker in between. The yellow wire is for reverse lights and most of the time does not get used therefore just gets tied up.
Please note, we do have other more cost effective trailer connector adapters but they don't typically come with the rest of the stuff you need to make the connections like the above kit. Therefore, they may be more cost effective at first but when you have to run into town to buy the rest of the stuff you need to make the connections, it will actually prove to be less cost effective.
If you don't already have a trailer brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160.
