What is the Actual Harness Length On the Hopkins Wiring Harness # HM42190 for 2004 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
The 7 pole and wire harness were recently ripped out of my 04 Dodge 3500. I am needing the 7 pole and wire harness. I am concerned this wire harness is not long enough from the pictures to connect to the existing wiring on the truck. How long is the wiring harness with this product?

Expert Reply:
The actual distance of the wiring harness portion of the Hopkins # HM42190 is 7 inches. The distance from the back of the 7 way to the end of the plug is 9 inches.
I also checked the length of the Tow Ready Harness # 20135. This has a 4-way on it as well as a 7-way, but it is a bit longer than the Hopkins. The Tow-Ready harness portion is 11 inches long. I also have a picture attached with the dimensions noted.
I have also included this information in the brief video attached.
