Parts Needed to Convert a 4-Way Trailer Connector Into a 7-Way Connector
Question:
I have a 4 wire female connector on my jeep and my new boat trailer has a 7 connector with 5 wires being used within. The dealer says the 5th wire is just for the back up lights. If this is the case how do I convert from 4 wire make to 7 prong female

We have just what you need. You are just needing to convert your 4-way into a 7-way trailer connector. For that you will use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit will provide the parts needed to convert your 4-way into the 7-way that you are needing.
You can also add the Curt No-Drill Bracket # C57202 to provide an attachment point for the 7-way bracket that is included in the # ETBC7.
It doesn't sound like your boat trailer has brakes. But if it does, you can pick up the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 to use the trailer brakes.
