Would Optronics Thinline Opti-Brite Interior Strip Light Work As Lighting For a Trailer Workbench

Question:

Can you suggest a 12V LED light for my workbench in my trailer? This would be akin to an under cabinet light. It currently has a 12V fluorescent which is roughly 18inch x 6inch x .0.75inch surface mount. It simply does not produce enough brightness to light my work surface which is 8foot wide by 2foot deep. I would be open to multiple fixtures if that is the best option. Thanks

I believe I have the perfect solution to light your workbench! Check out the Optronics Thinline Opti-Brite LED Interior Strip Light # ILL72CB.

This light measures 21-7/8 long x 1 wide x 5/8 thick inches. It has 5/32 inch mounting holes on 21-9/32 inch centers. This light has 27 diodes and puts out 513 effective lumens. This is a 12 volt, hard-wire light that has a 4 inch lead and ground wire exiting out the back in the center. You would need only four lights to cover your entire work bench area.

My husband has lights similar to these on his workbench and has them installed in the middle of the shelf above his work area and they illuminate the entire area really well.

Optronics also has two other sizes, 8 inch # ILL70CB and 16 inch # ILL71CB. I have attached all of the product pages of the aforementioned lights.

Although the LED RV Interior Light # ILL31CB that you referenced would work for you, I believe the strip light would illuminate your workbench better and more evenly.
