What Timbren Rear Axle Suspension Kit Best for 2013 Ford F-350 DRW Pulling 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Ive gone over your data and qanda and really havent figured out which timbren set to get. I will be pulling a 5th wheel with about 2500 lbs pin weight. The truck does not squat much but does a little now. I dont think I need your 350 series set but maybe the 250 set will work... it has 6k rating which is well more than I will ever use. I used your product on a 04 F250 and it worked well... thats why I want to go with you again instead of airbags.

Rubber jounce springs such as the Timbren # TFR250SDG that you referenced offer several advantages over air springs. Jounce springs generally cost less, they are easier to install and they require no maintenance or periodic adjustment. Also, since jounce springs do not engage the axle unless the vehicle is under load normal everyday ride quality will be unaffected by their installation, but when under load they will provide progressive resistance as the load increases.

Please note that the particular kit you referenced, part # TFR250SDG, will not fit your F-350.

For your 2013 Ford F-350 dually we offer a Timbren rear axle jounce spring kit that will fit both 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive versions, part # TFR350SDF. These springs require no drilling for installation; they bolt on in place of the factory axle bump stops. My contact at Timbren confirmed that this is the correct rear axle kit for your truck. The installation instructions are linked for your reference, along with an article that covers much detail about Timbren springs.
